Neutral Bay Uniting Church is a popular choice for weddings due to our location and beautiful historic church. Below you will find some information about holding your wedding at our church. (You can view more wedding photos too.)

Cost

When you book a ceremony at Neutral Bay Uniting Church, this includes:

  • hire of the Church for the ceremony
  • insurance
  • setting up of pews
  • use of microphones and sound system
  • a rehearsal prior to your ceremony
  • site management
  • access for florists, musicians, etc.


Additional fees

After service refreshments are permitted in the adjoining Newlands room for an extra fee.
Your guests will enjoy air-conditioned comfort while wedding photos are taken outside the Church and in our award-winning Community Garden.
We have an AV projector and screen in the Church that can be used to display images
before or during the ceremony.

Do I need to be a member of the Uniting Church?
No.
You don’t need to be a member of our congregation to have a ceremony at Neutral Bay Uniting Church but you need to be willing to be married in the Christian tradition. However, if you wish, you would be welcome to attend services at our church anytime.

Can our own minister perform the ceremony?
Generally, our own minister, Darren Liepold will conduct weddings at Neutral Bay Uniting Church. Your own minister can conduct the ceremony though with the prior approval of our minister and the church council.

What is the capacity of the Church?
The pews can be arranged to suit your needs, for example, central aisle, double aisle, small intimate wedding, etc.
Maximum pew seating is approximately 130 people.
Maximum total seating with extra chairs is approximately 180 people.

Parking?
There is no dedicated parking: only on-street parking, with no restrictions on weekends.
Signs can be placed to preserve space immediately in front of the church for the bridal car(s) however we cannot guarantee that our neighbours will honour these signs.
