How We Make a Difference

Why?

Why are we committed to changing lives in the church and in the community?

Jesus calls us at Neutral Bay Uniting to share God’s love with all, whether you attend our church or not. Our ministries reflect our desire to share God’s love with all and to be a voice of change in Jesus name. These are some of the many ways we make a difference.

Community Garden

Our Community Garden is a sanctuary for our neighbours . Sit, relax and use our free wifi to recharge. This is our gift to our community, an expression of God’s call on us to care.

Gardening is therapeutic and we believe that when we care for God’s creation, creation cares for us. A tireless group of dedicated Neutral Bay members care for this garden and all are welcome to take part in planting, weeding, watering and pruning this oasis.

You don’t have to attend our Sunday worship to take part in the care of our garden. You’re invited to care for creation with us!

Draught Discussions

Talking about faith with other Christians is a key part of discipleship at Neutral Bay. Draught Discussions is our fortnightly small group that meets on a Thursday at the Oaks Neutral Bay. We share a drink as we share our thoughts and spiritual journeys on topics that matter to today’s Christians.

We celebrate the diversity of theological and spiritual viewpoints as we grow closer together in our discussions. All are welcome to this relaxed and fun exploration into the key questions of what it means to follow Jesus.

Intercultural Church

GKI

Gereja Kristen Indonesia (GKI) is an Indonesian-speaking Uniting Church congregation that worships at Neutral Bay. Although we are an Indonesian-speaking congregation, we warmly welcome anyone yearning for God’s love and the Gospel.

GKI holds Sunday services in Bahasa Indonesia throughout the year. Our vibrant community gathers over worship, fellowship and delicious Indonesian food.

We also make a difference helping young people practice speaking English on the Javanese town of Manado through our partnership with Manly Manado Society.

St. Johns Childcare Centre

Neutral Bay Uniting Church hosts St. Johns Child Care Centre.

Our calling is to make quality education and childcare accessible for all.
